my wedding day

A week ago today  lives were changed.  So many  were changed because of the 500 year flood that Nashville experienced but in all that hopelessness and despair mine was actually changed for the better.  On May 1st I was married to my best friend.  I remember waking up to thunder clapping in the sky and rain pounding our roof.  I wanted to stay in bed longer and enjoy it but there was too much to do.  My future cousin-in-law sent me a text about the day and I remember responding that I thought the rain was kind of  romantic.  Come 3 o'clock when tornado sirens were going off and roads were shutting down due to flooding it wasn't so romantic anymore.  Thankfully we made it to the chapel along with many of our dear friends and family who braved the storm to make it. The rain actually stopped momentarily for the ceremony but quickly picked back up.  Everyone was sweet telling me that it is a sign of good luck. I even heard it's a sign of fertility but  I liked what my friend Paige said best..that it is supposed to wash away your past and your mistakes so you can start new and fresh. I know my Lord has already done that for me but it was really nice to hear at that moment.  Nashvillians you're still in my prayers!

OOh, please show more photos! I didn't realized you lived so near the flood.

Thank you everyone! Tiffany I'll have more coming as soon as we narrow them down from the 300 shots my photographer sent! It's so hard to decide!
