pumpkin soup {a book}

Have you ever had a children's book capture your heart?  Pumpkin Soup by Helen Cooper has captured mine.  It's about three friends, Cat, Duck and Squirrel who live in a white cabin in the woods and together they make music and pumpkin soup.  They squabble, they make up and then they squabble again. It's a heartwarming story about friendship but the illustrations are really why I love it so much.  They are whimsical and absolutely enchanting.  A perfect read for this time of year.
