Nourishing Africa

Nourish is proud to partner with Project Peanut Butter which is a nonprofit organization that treats malnourished children in Malawi and Sierra Leone. Dr. Manary, a pediatrician at St. Louis Children's Hospital who has worked in Africa for 20 years, has created a formula called RUTF (ready to use therapeutic food) which is a peanut/dairy/vitamin/mineral food which boasts a 95% recovery rate! UNICEF has said that RUTF is the most effective method to treating severely malnourished children. Malnutrition accounts for half of all child deaths worldwide. Last year Peanut Butter Project successfully treated 200,000 children in Malawi and they are now working in Sierra Leone which has the highest child mortality rate in the world! I couldn't be happier to be supporting such an important cause. Fifteen dollars is all that it takes to save a child's life. I pray that Nourish's contributions are able to save hundreds of precious lives.
