Happy Birthday {1 month}

Lyric today you are one month old!  I can't believe how quickly it's flown by.  Thankfully we have gotten into a little routine and I'm not quite as overwhelmed and sleep deprived as I was in the beginning.  It's been so fun having a girl in the family.  You are a great shopping buddy already.  I love our weekly shopping trips together and look forward to having girl time with you all week long even though you sleep through it all.

This week you started to smile.  I haven't been able to catch it on camera yet but it is the sweetest thing I've ever seen.  Your eyes are definitely blue to my surprise.  I thought for sure at least one of my babies would have brown eyes like their daddy.

You are going through a bit off an awkward phase right now with your baby acne, cradle cap and receding hairline but of course you are still beyond beautiful. It's tough being a baby. 

Thankfully I have managed to keep you safe from your brother although he's getting pretty good at scaling your crib and the wicked tantrums he's been throwing have made you look like even more of an angel.

We love you more with everyday sweet Lyric.  A part of me can't wait to see you grow but another wants you to stay like this forever.  It's bittersweet.
