{first bath!}

Lyric experienced her first bath today on her 3 week birthday! You might remember I blogged about how I wanted to wait and let the vernix continue to protect her skin here. I just ended up waiting a little bit longer then I originally thought.  I might be a bit mentally scarred from her brother's horrible reactions to baths when he was a newborn so I decided not to rush it.

Lyric had some baby acne develop over this past week and we got a new bath filter in the mail so I thought today is the day!  I used a little bit of my organic lavender oil in the water and only washed her cheeks where she has the breakouts. Her skin was so soft when she got out and her hair looked all clean and fuzzy. She's even more snugly now!  I think she might have even enjoyed the water because there was no protesting.  We'll be doing this more often from now on!
