filtering your bath water {a must for sensitive skin}

When someone asks me what they can do to help their child's dry sensitive skin one of the first things I ask them is do you filter their bath water?  Chlorine can wreak havoc on the skin especially when your skin is already vulnerable. The New Wave bath filter is a great cost effective alternative to having a whole filtration system installed.  You basically just fill the tub, toss the ball in and let it convert the chlorine ions in the water to chlorine salts which gives you a chlorine free bath.  It doesn't take long to work either just a couple of passes through the water and you're done.
When my son was a baby every time he got out of the bath his skin would be red with blisters.  Later we discovered he had a chlorine allergy and started using this filter.  It was like night and day!  We rarely go to the pool in the summer because of his sensitivity to chlorine instead I fill his kiddy pool up in the backyard and use the filter in the water. I can't tell you enough what a life saver this filter has been for us.
If you have switched to a better skin care routine, eliminated potential food or environmental allergies and your child is still itching and irritated then filtering their bath water is a must in my opinion and if you want to filter the water for yourself they also make a very affordable shower filter.  Happy bathing!
