{a few of my favorite things}

I'm ready for my baby girl to come any day now...actually I've been ready for weeks but somebody has different plans.  That's ok I know that Lyric will be well worth the wait!  So over the last couple months I've been collecting some great products to welcome her with and here are a few of my favorite things....

Since Miss Lyric is arriving in the middle of winter I fell hook line and sinker for this carseat insert that eliminates the need for blankets.  You can take it out and put it in your stroller too.  It is so incredibly soft and warm and I don't have to worry about dragging a blanket on the floor.  I figure my hands are going to be very full so anything to simplify my life will be much appreciated.  The urban version of the bundle me is weather resistant too so it will be great for rain or snow plus it comes in some really cute colors.
We were pretty much set on baby gear because of my son.  Thankfully I bought a lot of gender neutral items  incase we would have a girl one day.  So a double stroller was the biggest necessity that we needed.  I even debated on getting one because Bishop is going through a phase where it is a battle to get him to sit in a stroller, shopping cart, car seat etc. (he's two, need I say more).  But I am hopeful that this phase will soon pass and he will be delighted to sit alongside his sister in this beautiful stroller.  Besides it just being pretty it has some features that I really love like the sun canopy that comes all the way down to completely cover the baby (only in the 2010 model) and the seats lay back totally flat for napping.  It can fit through doorways and maneuvers so easily, 100 times better then my Chicco even.  I never thought I could fall so in love with a stroller.

The Ergo Baby Carrier is the latest to join my collection of carriers.  I think it brings the collection to 10...I know I have a problem.  There has been something missing with all the others. I'm like Goldie Locks when it comes to them.  Either they don't give me enough back support or I can't get them on fast enough or they are just plain uncomfortable.  I don't foresee any issues with this carrier though.  The shoulder straps are padded and there is a waist strap to equally distribute weight.  It snaps on quickly, has a nice little storage area in the front and a hood that can be pulled up over baby to protect them.  You can also wear it on your back and take it hiking too!

This insert allows you to use the carrier right from the beginning!  The insert is for newborns up to 4-5 months old.  It gives support to their head and neck and keeps them nice and cozy as well.

I always look forward to your "favorite things" posts. Remember you still need to register for some girly stuff!
